Sushant Singh Rajput's sudden and tragic death on June 14, 2020, left the entire nation in shock and disbelief. His fans and followers on social media and across the world started hashtags, campaigns and initiatives in his name and demanded justice for the actor. And while the entire film and television industry mourned the actor's demise, a few of Sushant's co-stars were targetted for not condoning his death on social media. Among them was actress Kriti Sanon, who was Sushant's co-star in the film 'Raabta'.

While Kriti did not immediately mourn Sushant by sharing photos or a note on social media, she later penned an emotional note expressing how she feels. And now, after more than a year has passed of Sushant leaving for his heavenly abode, Kriti has spoken about her life after him.

In an interview with a news agency, Kriti was quoted saying, "It was difficult to mute the noise. But I had my people and family around me that always kind of helps. Last year, social media was the worst thing that had happened to us. It opened up so much chatter and noise." Further adding, "I realised people were frustrated. Maybe, they were taking out that frustration. There was so much of fear, uncertainty and sadness around... I don't blame them completely. But social media has added to a lot of negativity."

Kriti further said that she found it best to detach herself from the constant clamour and only express herself in front of her loved ones. She said there were too many people saying too many things.

"I, anyway, felt too many people were saying too many things. I didn't want to be a part of that noise. I felt a lot of things were also going unfair. So I didn't want to be a participant to that," she added.

On the work front, Kriti is all set to impress the viewers with an ordinary story that has an unexpected journey in her latest offering 'Mimi'. The film will release on July 30 on Netflix.
