Vidya Balan, who's riding high on the success of her latest offering Mission Mangal. The movie which hit the theatres on Independence Day this year, has managed to impress the audience and the critics alike. While it has already crossed the Rs 100 crore mark, it is still raking in the moolah.

While her producer husband Siddharth Roy Kapur has produced quite a lot of big releases in Bollywood, including the likes of Dangal, ABCD and aBCD 2, Haider, Shahid, Chennai Express, Barfi among others, Vidya has apparently vowed never to work with him on the same project. She did take up Ghanchakkar which was produced by Siddharth but that was the first and last film on which they both worked together.

In her recent interview with film critic Anupama Chopra for Film Companion, Vidya Balan opened up on why she won't ever work with her producer-husband and the cons involved in the same. The actress says, "Because I just think it's...Like I feel I could have a problem with my director or my producer on another film and I could just, have it off with, not have a fight...I don't really fight but I argue, I reason. Actually reason is more like it. I couldn't do that with Siddharth when it's so personal I think because I can fight with Siddharth, I'll end up fighting with him (bursts out laughing)."

She further told Film Companion, "I just think it's safer (not to work with him), I want to retain the sanctity of our relationship, of our marriage. There have been a few instances when he's liked a script and I've liked a script then either of us has passed on it."

Vidya added, "And I can't negotiate monies with him (laughs). Imagine, if he says you should be getting this much and I'd be like I should be getting 10 times that amount, that means you're devaluing me and then other issues will show up (laughs). So I don't want to get into that space at all."

The Mission Mangal actress went on to narrate what happened when she was dating Siddharth while filming for Ghanchakkar which was being produced by him. "We were seeing each other and we were doing Ghanchakkar and I was like you know, I'm going to leave the film and I called up Ronnie and I said, now we're properly seeing each other so...So he (Ronnie) said, 'Don't worry, I'll talk to you about everything. You don't have to really interact with Siddharth on anything.' So I said, fine! But you know there were things that I couldn't share with him even though I wanted to because  it was constantly feeling like, oh what we've decided...and there's too many wires crossing literally. And I just want to be able to vent with him when I want to without...And in this profession na I think when we work, it's so close, it takes so long, we put in so much, I think you lose objectivity after a point. I dont want to be in a position where anything is a threat to our well being. It's too precious for me."
