Did you know? 'High Jack' marks the debut of team 'Tripling' on silver screens

Web sensation duo Sumeet Vyas and Akarsh Khurana is all set to make their big screen debut with the upcoming stoner comedy 'High Jack'. Known for his outstanding performances in popular web series like 'TVF Tripling', 'Permanent Roommates' and writer of 'Bang Baaja Baaraat', Sumeet Vyas will be seen collaborating with his Tripling team for 'High Jack'.

Akarsh Khurana who was the writer for TVF Tripling will make his big screen debut as a director with the Sumeet Vyas starrer 'High Jack'.

Talking about the same, Akarsh Khurana said, "Sumeet and I have worked together in the theatre since 2008. He has directed two plays I produced and acted in plays I have directed. Then he asked me to come on board for Tripling as co-writer and that turned out very well. I gave him the script of High Jack to get an opinion and I was super fortunate that he showed interest in acting in it. He was quite a star then thanks to the immense popularity of his work with TVF. Quite honestly him coming on board was a huge step towards making the film happen."

Sumeet Vyas also shared,” I have been collaborating with Akarsh for around 10 years in Theater and then web shows. What I like the most about him is his understanding of the script of whatever he is directing and the ease that he gets the best performance out of his actors. We had lots of fun doing High Jack and I am confident that the audience will love this trippy fun film".

Interestingly, another actor Sarang Sathye from Tripling will be seen playing a pivotal part in 'High Jack'. In the age where Bollywood actors are turning to the digital platform, web sensations like Sumeet Vyas, Akarsh Khurana and Sarang Sathye are setting their feet firm in Bollywood.

'High Jack' will be a one of its kind stoner comedy, the trailer of which has already taken the audience on a laughter trip. 

Marking the occasion of World Stoner Day, 'High Jack' will hit the screens on April 20, 2018.

The film stars an ensemble cast featuring Sumeet Vyas, Sonnalli Sehgal, Mantra, Sarthak Kakar, Kumud Mishra, Radhika Bangia, Priyanshu Painyuli and Adhaar Khurana. 

Produced by Phantom films in association with Viu, High Jack directed by Akarsh Khurana is slated to release on April 20, 2018.
