No doubt, Ekta Kapoor is on top-of-the-game on television with her serials Naagin 2 and Kumkum Bhagya ruling the charts, but wonder why she is playing truant at her own press conferences. Recently, a media meet was organised for the launch of Chandrakanta, which she is producing. Even the time was fixed as per her convenience. However, on the day of the meet, Ekta didn’t turn up at all. Says a source, “Actually, Ekta did come, but it was very late. She only met the actors of her serial and the channel head behind the scenes. She was advised not to go meet the press as they were miffed. Some of them left upset with her for making them wait for hours.” In fact, last week another press meet regarding her digital platform Alt Balaji, also got cancelled a day before the event as she had some other commitments. Looks like, now that she has announced her next film launching Sara Ali Khan opposite Sushant Singh Rajput, and is also co-producing Veerey Di Wedding, plus has plunged head first into producing web series, Ekta is finding it difficult to give time to all. After all she is a one woman industry.
