Shah Rukh Khan visited Vishno Devi in the early hours of Wednesday ahead of Jawan trailer release.

With just over a week to go for the release of his next film Jawan, actor Shah Rukh Khan visited the Vaishno Devi shrine to offer prayers recently. A video from the actor’s visit to Katra amid heavy police security has now gone viral. While the actor’s face is not visible in the video, he can be seen walking with guards and police personnel near the shrine.
A video showing the actor walking to the shrine at Vaishno Devi was posted on social media on Wednesday afternoon. The video shows the actor, dressed in denims and white t-shirt with a blue hooded jacket and a mask, walking next to guards and police personnel. The video seems to have been shot early morning. The actor will be seen promoting Jawan at a grand pre-release event in Chennai on Wednesday evening ahead of the trailer launch at Burj Khalifa, Dubai on Thursday. On Tuesday, Shah Rukh took to Twitter to announce the pre-release event, which will take place in a college in Chennai. “Vanakkam Chennai, I am coming!!! All the Jawans - girls & boys at Sai Ram Engineering College be ready... I am excited to meet you all! Might even do some tha tha thaiya if asked. See you tomorrow 3PM onwards,” the actor wrote.
Jawan, directed by Atlee, stars Shah Rukh alongside Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi, along with Deepika Padukone in a cameo. The film is slated for release on September 7 for Janmashtami. However, fans were a little uneasy that the trailer had not been launched with less than ten das to go for the release. On Monday, Shah Rukh announced that a ‘festival’ of Jawan will take place on August 31 at Burj Khalifa with sources saying te trailer will be launched on the world’s tallest building.
Jawan marks Shah Rukh’s second release of the year after the all-time blockbuster Pathaan. The film, which was the actor’s first in four years, minted over Rs 1000 crore worldwide, becoming his highest-grossing film ever.
