Reportedly, CM Yogi Adityanath flew down to Mumbai and invited Akshay Kumar to Ayodhya for his upcoming film 'Ram Setu'.
On Tuesday, Bollywood actor-producer Akshay Kumar met Uttar Pradesh's Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to discuss the possibility of shooting his upcoming movie 'Ram Setu' in the state. As per reports, both discussed the immense possibilities of film shoots in the northern state at length.
Yogi landed in Mumbai at 7.30 pm and is currently at Oberoi Hotel, where he met the 'Kesari' actor and discussed the innumerable possibilities for film shoots in Uttar Pradesh.
Reportedly, the UP CM has invited Akshay Kumar to Ayodhya for filming 'Ram Setu'. Akshay, who is also the producer of the film under the banner Cape of Good Films, thanked Yogi Adityanath for the warm invite.
According to the release issued by the UP`s Information and Public Relations Department, Yogi Adityanath was quoted as saying in the release, ""Under our state`s Film Policy 2018, we are encouraging more activities related to films and their production. Local residents and actors also benefit from this as it would give them an opportunity to showcase their talent and have secure employment. We are ensuring that producers and filmmakers shooting in Uttar Pradesh are provided with all amenities and support."
Earlier, on the occasion of Diwali 2020, Akshay Kumar revealed the name of his upcoming film - Ram Setu, with the tagline 'Myth or Reality?' In the posters, Akshay was seen in a long hairdo wearing a grey T-Shirt, a blue denim shirt and black cargo pants. The poster also had a photo of Lord Ram, who was born in Ayodhya, in the background.
Akshay had shared the first poster with an English caption that read, "This Deepawali, let us endeavour to keep alive the ideals of Lord Ram in the consciousness of all Bharatiyas by building a bridge (setu) that will connect generations to come. Taking this mammoth task ahead, here is our humble attempt - RAM SETU! Ram Setu is directed by Abhishek Sharma, who last directed Manoj Bajpayee-Diljit Dosanjh-Fatima Sana Shaikh starring film 'Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari'.
The movie is produced by Abundatia Entertainment and Cape of Good Films. Dr Chandraprakash Dwivedi is the creative producer of Ram Setu.
Yogi, according to Zee News, is expected to visit the Bombay Stock Exchange on his second day in the city. After all of his meetings, Yogi Adityanath is expected to host a press conference.
The Chief Minister would return to Lucknow on Wednesday evening, after wrapping up all meeting and media interactions in Mumbai.
