Ajay Devgn casts CarryMinati aka Ajey Nagar in his directorial 'MayDay'

Ajay Devgn is creating an ensemble cast for his upcoming directorial MayDay. After roping in Amitabh Bachchan, Rakul Preet Singh, Angira Dhar and Aakanksha Singh in his film, the actor has cast a debutante now. Yes, popular YouTuber CarryMinati aka Ajey Nagar will be seen playing an important role in MayDay which also stars Ajay in the leading role. In the film, he will be essaying the eponymous role of a social media sensation.

Confirming the same, CarryMinati said in a statement, "Absolutely thrilled and honoured to be aligning creative forces with such reputed personalities from the film fraternity. I’m eagerly looking forward to being a part of this brand-new adventure and learning a thing or two about acting while I’m at it. In the past, I’ve got offered film roles but I agreed to be a part of this project because I had the opportunity to play myself and bring my alias, Carry Minati alive on the 70 mm screen."

Recalling about his dream of becoming an actor, Ajey shared, "I remember enacting these skits as a child and my parents always thought I’d grow up to be an actor. You see acting is something that comes to me naturally just like music so it’s no rocket science for me really. For all my anxious fans out there, I’m just exploring and experimenting within the creative gamut, but content creation will always be my passion and true calling."

In MayDay, Ajay and Rakul will be seen as pilots while Angira is essaying the role of a lawyer. Big B's role in the film is yet to be disclosed by the makers. The film went on floors a few days back in Hyderabad.
