Meet India's richest heart doctor who earned Rs 20738 crore, relative of THIS film star

Prathap Reddy is one of the richest doctors in the country with a net worth of Rs 20738 crore. He founded Apollo Hospitals in 1983. He returned from the United States to India in the 1970s.

Apollo Hospitals is the country's premier hospital chain in the private sector. It is also known for medical tourism and carrying out difficult medical procedures.

The company's annual revenue is a whopping 1.9 billion dollars. They run a chain of 71 hospitals, 291 primary care clinics and more than 5,000 pharmacies.

Prathap Reddy has four daughters who run the company.

Preetha Reddy and third daughter Shobana Kamineni are executive vice chairpersons.

Suneeta Reddy is the managing director of the company. The youngest, Sangita, is the joint managing director.

His granddaughter Upasana is married to Telugu superstar Ram Charan.

Prathap Reddy received Padma Bhushan in 1991 and Padma Vibhushan in 2010.
