To tackle the growing numbers of complaints related to autorickshaw drivers in the city, the Bangalore traffic police on Thursday asked people to register their complaints through its interactive voice response system (IVRS).

To register complaints against autorickshaw drivers demanding more money than normal meter fare, people can dial 080-25588444 or 25588555 and register the complaint. Though these numbers have been there for a long time, the police noticed that the service is not being utilised by people.

Till July this year, the police received 7,263 calls through IVRS, but as people are not aware about the procedure maximum calls were either blank or were disconnected without giving proper information like place, date and time, police sources said.
