Senior BJP leader LK Advani, BJP president Amit Shah, and union finance minister Arun Jaitley were among the party biggies who exercised their right to vote in Ahmedabad on Tuesday.

Advani, who is the MP from Gandhinagar, was accompanied by his daughter Pratibha Advani when he cast his vote at the Shahpur Hindi school, which falls under the Ahmedabad West Lok Sabha seat. MP Kirit Solanki, whom the BJP repeated as its candidate from Ahmedabad West seat, was also in attendance with Advani.

Advani, who previously won from Gandhinagar Lok Sabha seat six times, but did not contest this time, predicted another victory for his party in the elections.

"We will win," the BJP patriarch said. He, however, refused to take any questions from mediapersons.

Meanwhile, Shah, who replaced Advani as the BJP candidate from Gandhinagar seat, also cast his vote at a booth in Naranpura. He also accompanied PM Modi when he went to cast his vote.

Later in the afternoon, Jaitley voted at a booth in Chimanbhai Patel Institute on SG Highway, which falls under the Gandhinagar Lok Sabha seat. Jaitley is a Rajya Sabha MP from the state.
