Kabul Attack: 1 Indian dead says MEA in car bomb blast near a high-security compound

The ministry of external affairs (MEA) has said that one Indian died in the Kabul attacked on monday. The Indian Embassy in Kabul is taking steps for repatriation of the mortal remains of the Indian national.

The ministry of external affairs (MEA) has said that one Indian died in the Kabul attacked on monday. The Indian Embassy in Kabul is taking steps for repatriation of the mortal remains of the Indian national. 

New Delhi has strongly condemned the horrific terror attack in Kabul & expressed its sincere condolences to the families of the victims of this cowardly attack and wish early recovery to the injured. 

In a release by ministry of external affairs said,"India calls for the perpetrators of this heinous attack and those who provide them shelter to be brought to justice expeditiously."

4 people died and more than 40 injured as a bomb exploded in a place frequented by foreigners. Afghan taliban claimed the terror attack and warned of more in the future.

Blast was felt in the green zone where the Indian embassy was located.The blast occurred about 3 kms from the embassy.

The attack comes even as Afghan govt and regional and global powers engage in efforts for a peace deal in the country especially with the Taliban.
