"It is the path of Greece. It is more taxes, more spending, more regulation. If you want a peak into the future with Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders as President, then look at Greece," Jindal, the two-term Governor from Louisiana said after Clinton unveiled her economic policies.
"And it is all being done to feed a greedier and greedier government. Clinton's solution to every problem is to take more money out of the American economy and put it into the government economy," he said.
"The biggest lie Bill Clinton ever told was not about Monica Lewinsky, it was when he said the era of big government was over. Our government has become greedy. Its appetite is unquenchable. Its reach is ever expanding," he said.
"But what does this really mean? It means that the Left, which is now synonymous with the Democrat Party, Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders – they are the ones who have become greedy," Jindal said.
"They are the engines that drive big government. The Democrats are consumed with government greed and arrogance. They believe that they can make all things right if they can just take enough of our tax dollars and turn them over to them so they can fix society's ills," Jindal said.
Spelling out her economic vision, Clinton earlier said government has to be smarter, simpler, more focused itself on long-term investments than short-term politics and be a better partner to cities, states and the private sector.
"Washington has to be a better steward of America's tax dollars and Americans' trust. And please, let's get back to making decisions that rely on evidence more than ideology," she said.
