One year to the COVID-19 induced lockdown that was first imposed in the country on March 23, 2020, netizens are leaving no stones unturned to make this a funny affair. Three days before its one-year anniversary, 'Lockdown 2021' started trending on Twitter on Saturday.
The situation after a year, when the first nationwide lockdown was imposed still remains grim with a fresh surge of COVID-19 cases. Some states have already taken precautionary measures by implementing night curfew.
On the other hand, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray warned of another possible lockdown amid a growing number of COVID-19 cases in the state. On Friday, Maharashtra recorded 25,681 fresh novel coronavirus cases with Mumbai alone recording 3,062 cases in a day.
Meanwhile, CM Thackeray's warning has given Netizens enough reasons to have a fun time on Twitter with some of the funniest memes.

However, in the latest COVID-19 review meet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi with the chief ministers of all states, there was no indication of another lockdown to be imposed anytime soon. PM Modi only suggested to the people to adhere to the COVID-19 protocols strictly.
