Pankaj Tripathi suffered for eight years before gaining his debut in ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’, despite delivering a series of remarkable performances. During his most recent appearance on ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 13’, the actor discussed the struggle with Amitabh Bachchan.

Pankaj mentioned that, unlike other struggling actors, he was able to avoid sleeping at Andheri station thanks to his wife, Mridula Tripathi, in the episode. He went on to say that she was there for him while he looked for work.

“I came to Mumbai in 2004 and Gangs of Wasseypur happened in 2012. For eight years, no one knew what I was doing. When people ask me now, 'how were your days of struggle', that's when I realise that 'oh, those were my struggling days?' At that time, I didn't know that it was a tough period. I didn't realise the hardship because my wife would teach kids, our needs were limited, we lived in a small house and she would earn so I lived easily. Mere sangarsh mein, Andheri station pe sona nahi include hua unki wajah se (I didn't sleep at Andheri station during my days of struggle, thanks to my wife),”

Pankaj further revealed to Big B that he had met his future bride while travelling by train. He kept peeping and interacting with her because she appeared to be quite attractive to him. After that, they communicated for days and fell in love with each other. Pankaj had earlier stated that he would wander around Andheri pleading for an acting gig.

On 'KBC 13', Pankaj was joined by Pratik Gandhi, the star of 'Scam 1992'. Both performers not only took part in the quiz programme, but they also translated and presented lines from 'Deewar' in Bihari and Gujarati, as well as shared personal tales.
