Rubina had tested positive for COVID-19 in May this year while she was visiting her family in her cowtown Shimla.
Actor and ‘Bigg Boss 14’ winner Rubina Dilaik, who battled coronavirus a few months ago, has now opened up about how she struggled to shed extra kilos that she gained after contracting the virus.
On Tuesday (September 7), Rubina shared a bunch of photos of her dressed in an off-shoulder beige coloured gown with tassels on the arms. The gown’s deep neck was complimented by Rubina's sleek hairstyle.
While sharing the photos, Rubina wrote about how her weight gain made her underconfident and she realised that her thin body doesn’t define who she is. “M Learning to love myself again after realising, a perfect , lean body doesn’t define who I am…… I gained 7kgs post my covid recovery which made me really uncomfortable and low on confidence! Struggled hard to get back to my usual 50 but ……..”
She then shared a piece of advice for her fans. “So here is to my beautiful people a lil nugget (which I am current practicing) ! Weight is all about having your health first and not your looks…. Be kind to your body,” Rubina wrote.
Rubina’s post has received hilarious reactions from her husband Abhinav Shukla and friend Jaan Kumar Sanu. Abhinav commented, “Ok mam! I have put on 7kgs just eating parathas,” while singer Jaan Kumar Sanu wrote, “I’ve put on 5 kgs eating pizza @rubinadilaik.
Fans also resonated with Rubina and showered her with love and praises. “Yes Be kind to your Body,” wrote one user while commented, “Rubi u always look beautiful.” A third user wrote, “Gorgeous Diva,” while a fourth one commented, “cuteness overload.”

Rubina Dilaik recently went inside the ‘Bigg Boss OTT’ house with Nikki Tamboli and played fun games with the contestants. She also starred in a music video titled ‘Bheeg Jaunga’ by singer Stebin Ben. Rubina will also be making her Bollywood debut with the film ‘Ardh’ which stars Hiten Tejwani, Rajpal Yadav and Kulbushan Kharbanda in key roles. The film will have an OTT release in 2022.
