Suryakumar Yadav becomes fastest Indian to hit 100 sixes in T20Is, surpasses Rohit Sharma's record

World No. one T20I batter, Suryakumar Yadav broke the record for taking the least innings by an Indian batter to smash 100 sixes in T20s. SKY broke the record on Tuesday against West Indies as India picked up a 7-wicket win.

Yadav put up a match-winning show in the 3rd T20I by smashing 83 runs in 44 balls which includes 10 fours and 4 sixes. The explosive middle-order batter reached 100 sixes in T20Is after hitting his 3rd six during in Guyana. He achieved this feat in just 49 innings with the strike rate of 175.76.

By breaking the record, he joined the elite list of Virat Kohli and captain Rohit Sharma. Rohit Sharma leads with most sixes (182) in 140 innings. Yadav reached the feat in 49 innings, surpassing Rohit Sharma's  earlier record of taking just 84 innings. 

Apart from this, Surya Kumar Yadav has become the second on the list of overall international standings in terms of innings just behind West Indies’ Evin Lewis, who managed to get this feat in only 42 innings.
