Big Bash League: Sydney Sixers play Hobart Hurricanes, Shaun Tait takes early wicket

The Big Bash league match between the Hobart Hurricanes and Sydney Sixers has begun at the Sydney Cricket Ground.

The Sydney Sixers elected to bat after winning the toss, and lost the first wicket in the first over itself after getting just 4 runs on the board.

Michael Lumb was caught spectacularly at third man off the bowling of Shaun Tait.

The home side welcomed back skipper Moises Henriques from suspension and will be glad to have him after being comprehensively beaten by crosstown rivals the Thunder in Thursday’s tournament opener.

For the Hurricanes, all eyes are on star signings Kumar Sangakkara, express paceman Shaun Tait and ex-Australian all-rounder Dan Christian, all making their debuts for the team.
