Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje showers gifts on Ajmer ahead of by-polls

Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje has said that state government has been working to provide drinking water once in a day to every colony in Ajmer. The government is going to spend Rs 79 crore for this purpose and after a year, there will be no drinking water problem, she assured.

Ahead of Lok Sabha by-poll in Ajmer, the CM also announced Rs 5 crore for road construction, drainage and other development works. She was speaking to members of all communities during her meeting with them on Saturday. She also listened to people’s complaints and suggestions.

Members of Vaishya community expressed their gratitude to the CM for taking up their concerns to GST council and subsequent relief announcement by the government yesterday. They said that the CM took up their demands to PM, finance minister and GST council that proved helpful. The announcement would simplify the tax system and improve their business.

The CM said that she has considered every citizen of the state as her family member irrespective of his or her caste and religion. As head of the family, direct contact with members of the family is necessary to know their problems. She also directed officials that roads should not be dug up in the middle to lay pipeline and should be immediately repaired after work is completed.

Raje asked people to contribute to keep Ajmer clean and not to dump garbage on empty plots. She said that in Jaipur, there is a provision of penalty if an empty plot was not clean and it could be introduced in Ajmer as well.

She further added that her interaction with people in Kishangarh, Pushkar and Ajmer allowed her to know ground realities and all efforts have been made to resolve the problems, which benefited people of Ajmer.

People from all communities also thanked her for development in the last three years. They said that this was the first time when they were able to convey small problems to a chief minister. They also presented her mementos. Education minister Vasudev Devnani was present during the programme in Ajmer North constituency.
