PATWA award for Palace on Wheels presented to CM Vasundhara Raje

Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje was presented the PATWA International Award for Palace on Wheels by the Minister of state for Tourism Krishnendra Kaur (Deepa),  at the Chief Minister’s Office on Tuesday. Raje congratulated the tourism department officials and the whole team for their achievements.

On the occasion, the Chief Minister said “unprecedented work has been done in the field of tourism development in the state in the last 4 years and Rajasthan has made a special identity on the World Tourism Map. There is also a significant increase in the number of tourists. Its credit goes to the improved infrastructure of tourism, increased tourism facilities and effective campaigning.

Additional Chief Secretary, Tourism, Dr Subodh Agrawal informed on the occasion that during ITB Berlin the Pacific Area Travel Writers Association (PATWA), in an award ceremony awarded Palace on wheels as the Luxury Tourist Train of the year. The award was presented by the Minister of State, Tourism, Art & Culture, KJ Alphonse on March 8 to the Director Tourism, Pradeep Kumar Borad.
