Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday said that the present youth of Madhya Pradesh have been fortunate not to have witnessed the bad governance of Congress that had turned the state into a ‘Bimaru Rajya’ (sick state). PM Modi was addressing Bharatiya Janata Party workers in poll-bound MP’s capital Bhopal.

“The BJP government in Madhya Pradesh has completed almost 20 years. This means the youths who will be voting for the first time in the upcoming elections, have only seen the BJP government. The present youth of Madhya Pradesh are lucky that they have not witnessed the bad governance of the Congress government... Congress turned the state into 'Bimaru Rajya'...,” PM Modi said during the 'Karyakarta Mahakumbh' at Bhopal’s Jamboree Maidan.

Launching a scathing attack at the Congress, PM Modi added, “Congress cannot digest the development work in India... They don't want the country to develop... They are never proud of the country's achievements because neither they want to change and neither want the country to change or develop... Congress will make Madhya Pradesh a 'Bimaru Rajya' if it gets a chance (to come into power here). They opposed digital payment but the world is impressed by UPI mode.”

“For Madhya Pradesh upcoming years are very crucial... If during this crucial time, Congress, a dynasty party, a party full of corruption, gets a chance (to come into power), this will be a huge loss for the state,” PM Modi said.

PM Modi on Monday reached Jamboree Maidan in Madhya Pradesh's Bhopal to address a 'Karyakarta Mahakumbh', a mega congregation of BJP workers. MP CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan was also in attendance.

Over the past few weeks, the BJP has been taking out yatras from five different places in poll-bound MP in a mass-contact programme. The PM's address marks the culmination of the yatras. MP goes into Assembly Elections in November later this year.
