"True leadership is servanthood." Jayman Sharma, an active member of Youth Congress and NSUI and elected President of IYC - Bapunagar since 2016, has always been passionate to serve his country.
The 34 years old young, energetic and visionary youth leader hailing from Bapunagar - Ahmedabad was sure about his passion to serve the country and place himself as the leader for not only youth but the elderly as well.
Inspired by Mr Rahul Gandhi, he joined NSUI in 2006. Working with determination for 3 years, Jayman was declared a Delegate from Thakkarbapanagar Vidhan Sabha in 2009, a stepping stone in his political journey. The next step was in 2010, where Jayman joined Student Yuva Jagran Yatra to create awareness about the future among the youths.
By winning the board member's election at student welfare in association with NSUI in 2011, he moved ahead to work in the education fields. Jayman in 2014 participated in Vikas Khoj Yatra, a 500Km Yatra in 23 days, passing through nine Lok Sabha, where Shri Rahul Gandhi also joined from Bartoli in Surat.
In 2016, Jayman Sharma participated and collected around 4000 membership forms which is the highest number in Gujarat's assembly. And won this election by 1000 votes and made the record of becoming PRESIDENT with the highest number of votes. This was the year when demonetization shook the country. Even in such a hard time, Jayman helped the poor and disabled in all possible ways, creating a benchmark.
Jayman has been there for people in good and bad. From participating in awareness rallies to spreading smiles on special occasions of Uttarayan, to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, Jayman made every attempt to spread awareness and support.
His 13 years of selfless service and dedication towards society was seen during COVID 19 as well. From distributing food packets to masks and sanitizers, and helping over 5000 migrant workers, Jayman was always on his tiptoes.
A leader, a social servant, a guide, and above all, a person who won thousands of hearts, we wish Jayman Sharma for his future prospects and hope to see him win the election from Bapunagar with flying colours.
