The consecration of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya was held on Monday (Jan 22). The Ram Lalla idol depicts Lord Ram as a five-year-old child. The idol was adorned with an array of magnificent jewellery and divine attire.

The attire in which Ram Lalla's ornaments are created after extensive research and study following Lord Ram's description in scriptures such as Adhyatma Ramayana, Valmiki Ramayana, Ramcharitmanas, and Alavandar Stotra.

These ornaments have been crafted by Harsahaimal Shiamlal Jewellers in Lucknow. He is adorned in Banarasi fabric. He is wearing a yellow dhoti and a red pataka/angavastram.

The angavastram is embellished with pure gold zari and threads. It features auspicious Vaishnav symbols-- Sankh, Padma, Chakra, and Mayur. The garments were created by Delhi's textile designer, Manish Tripathi who worked from Ayodhya Dham.
