Major fire hits chips factory in UP's Unnao; all employees safely evacuated

A major fire broke out in a chips factory in Unnao, which is located between Lucknow and Kanpur. Several fire tenders were rushed to the spot. According to a report by Jagran, three goods carriers were also burnt in the fire.

A major fire broke out in a chips factory in Unnao, which is located between Lucknow and Kanpur. Several fire tenders were rushed to the spot. According to a report by Jagran, three goods carriers were also burnt in the fire.

According to early reports, workers noticed the fire and raised the alarm. As they rushed outside, the fire began to spread.

News agency ANI reported that 400 employees have been evacuated from the zone.

The Jagran report further added that 80 commercial gas cylinders were inside the factory when the blaze started. Had the firefighters not reached on time, it would have led to massive destruction.

As of now, firefighters are trying to control the situation.
