Junior doctors, youth clash in hospital in Indore

Tension prevailed in the MY Hospital yesterday after clashes between junior doctors and a group of youths, police said.
 
One youth Ankush Chaturvedi reached a room on the fifth floor of the hospital where he found some junior doctors drinking, they said.
 
They said according to Ankush, the doctors beat him up and locked him inside a room.
 
Later, he called his friends and they assaulted the junior doctors and fled the scene.
 
Irked over this, 325 junior doctors demanded the arrest of the youths failing which they would go on an indefinite strike.
 
However, following intervention by Madhya Pradesh health minister, Mahendra Herdia, the junior doctors decided not to go on strike.
 
Police have registered a case against Ankush Chaturvedi and four of his associates in connection with the incident.
