CHENNAI: Continuing to crack the whip on party office-bearers who had defied her orders to not to have any contact with M Natarajan, the estranged husband of her close confidante Sasikala, AIADMK supremo Jayalalithaaa has expelled 13 functionaries from the party.

She removed the 13 functionaries of Karur district from their posts and also primary membership of the party for having participated in a function along with Natarajan on December one.

"I've already stated several times that no party person should have any contact with Natarajan," she said in a statement here and urged AIADMK men not to have any link with the expelled members.

Earlier also, she had expelled 13 office-bearers of Tiruchirapalli district for 'violating party discipline and bringing disrepute to it' by being in touch with Natarajan.

A former Government employee, Natarajan was functioning as a political manager of Jayalalithaa in the 80s before he fell out of her favour. He was asked to leave her residence in 1990.
