Two Hizbul Mujahideen militants were on Wednesday killed in an encounter with security forces in Sopore township of Jammu and Kashmir's Baramulla district.

Two Hizbul Mujahideen militants were on Wednesday killed in an encounter with security forces in Sopore township of Jammu and Kashmir's Baramulla district.
Acting on a specific intelligence, the security forces had launched a cordon and search operation in the area last night.
The militants have been identified as Basit Ahmad Mir, a resident of Pattan, and Gulzar Ahmad, a resident of Sopore.
The security forces also recovered two AK Rifles, six magazines and two hand grenades.
Last week, terrorist attacked on a police party in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag and disfigured the faces of the six cops slain before walking away with their weapons.
