Terming the recent Lok Sabha polls as the first innings, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh today said in the second knock the BJP's target is to form governments in all states. "Lok Sabha elections were the first innings in which we received astounding success. Now, in the secong innings, the target is to form governments in all states," he said at a function here.
On rousing welcome accorded to Prime Minister Narendra Modi by important countries and the success of "Mangalyan" mission, Singh said "if BJP gets a chance to remain in power for 10 years it will make India a superpower." He said the move to invite heads of SAARC nations at Modi's swearing-in was widely appreciated. The Home Minister said there was a time when the US rejected visa to Modi, but now it is according him a warm welcome.
Addressing the Karyakarta Samman Samaroh, he dwelt on achivements of the Modi government. Referring to the Prime Minister's Jan Dhan scheme, Singh said the government has set a target to provide roof to every family and toilets in every house in the country.
