Everest climber solemnises marriage by reading Constitution preamble on Republic Day

Setting an example for the society where caste is given the prime preference when one gets married, an Everest climber from Maharashtra has solemnised his marriage by reading the preamble to the Constitution of India.

Anand Bansode, who holds the record of playing the national anthem on the guitar at a height of 6,300 meter above sea-level at Camp 2 of Mount Everest, got married to his friend Akshaya Patil from Ahmednagar on the 67th Republic day.

Anand and Akshaya registered their marriage by reading the preamble to the Indian Constitution in presence of children from various deprived sections of the society at Solapur's Sanskar Sanjivani Foundation. 

Akshaya has studied MSC in Physics and also writes on various topics. She is soon going to publish her book. 

The climber, Anand, also shared pictures of their marriage on Facebook and wrote, "I am happy to begin the new journey of my life by reading the preamble constitution", said Anand, adding, "We should forget all differences and should follow the Indian religion."  

Expressing her happiness, Akshaya said, " It is a dream of almost all women that their marriage should be a grand celebration, but it gives me immense satisfaction that I have got married in presence of children from the deprived section of the society."

She also praised her partner and said that one needs to have a greater perspective to understand the thought process of a person like Anand, who has climbed various mountains.
