The Papaya Tree Hotel in Rau experienced a fire that started in the cafe area and quickly spread to all of the hotel's floors. Two floors of the hotel were engulfed in fire.

On Wednesday morning in Indore, a fire broke out at a five-story Papaya Tree hotel in Rau. Firefighters have been dispatched right away to put out the fire. Three firefighters and five water tankers have been dispatched quickly to the scene and are battling the fire. The area is being evacuated. 

From within the hotel, every person—including women and children—has been saved. According to reports by AajTak, 1 woman got fainted due to the smoke. 

Cafeteria caught the fire first
As per reports, the fire was caught in the cafeteria first and then the fire expanded into the hotel. The hotel has five floors with 60 rooms. The fire has entirely destroyed two storeys. 

According to the source, elevated staircases have been installed to help escape those stuck inside the hotel. In addition to this, efforts are also being made to remove them with the help of cranes. On the other hand, witnesses on the scene claim that they saw several people attempting to exit the hotel by securing a sheet to the window of the room.
