3 dead in massive clashes between TMC-CPI(M) in West Bengal's Amdanga

The 17 injured in the clashes are undergoing treatment at Barasat, Barrackpore and RG Kar hospital

Massive clashes erupted between TMC and CPM late Tuesday night at Amdanga in North 24 Parganas district of West Bengal over Panchayat board formation. At least three people have been killed and 17 injured in the clashes. Two people killed in the clashes have been identified as TMC members - Nasir Haldar and Kuddus Gani. One slain CPM member has been identified as Muzzafar Ahmed.

The 17 injured in the clashes are undergoing treatment at Barasat, Barrackpore and RG Kar hospital. The site of the clash resembles a war zone with series of house torched, fire still raging on in some places.  Live crude bombs in huge numbers are still lying in the area. A huge police force has been rushed to the spot. Senior TMC leader and state minister Jyotipriyo Mallick went to the hospital to see the injured. 

More than 10 people have been arrested in connection with the clashes. Police are currently carrying out raids in the area. Meanwhile, board formation in three gram panchayats of Amdanga - Taraberia, Moricha and Bodai has been postponed. In total, 8 people have been killed over Panchayat board formation in the last few days in the state.
