Stake sale talks with Shah Rukh Khan in final stage, says Dempo

Shahrukh Khan, the proud co-owner of IPL champions Kolkata Knight Riders, is now on his way to acquire a stake in the Goan football outfit Dempo.

Srinivas Dempo, the club owner, confirmed that talks for sale of stake with the Bollywood actor were in the final stage.

"Yes, Shahrukh Khan is going to take the stake. The deal is almost in the final stages," Dempo told PTI here, not giving the details.

"We can't tell you the percentage (of Shahrukh's stake) right now," he said.

The lawyers had prepared the draft of the deal, and finalisation was awaited as Shahrukh was in London, he said.

Even after the sale, the name `Dempo Sports Club' would remain, he said.
