Sanjay Dutt compares his 'KGF Chapter 2' role as Adheera to supervillain Thanos

On the occasion of Sanjay Dutt's 60th birthday, Farhan Akhtar dropped the actor's first look from K.G.F: Chapter 2. In the first look, he is seen as a notorious dacoit named Adheera. Farhan wrote, "I remember, as a kid, watching him shoot for his debut film ‘Rocky’ on bandstand... and all these years later we’re finally collaborating on something special. Here’s presenting Sanjay Dutt as Adheera from #KGFChapter2. And here’s also wishing him a happy birthday. Big hug @duttsanjay."

During the teaser launch event of his upcoming film Prasthanam, when Sanjay was asked about his role in K.G.F: Chapter 2, the actor compared it to the MCU's supervillain, Thanos. He stated, "My character of Adheera in KGF is very powerful. It's on the lines of Thanos from The Avengers. Adheera is like Thanos. In KGF: Chapter 1, Adheera was mentioned in the end. In part 2 he is shown to be a dangerous character with scary makeup and I think that was the role I was looking for."

According to PTI, he also said, "Adheera's character is very powerful. If you have seen 'Avengers', you would know Thanos. So Adheera is like him. He is a very dangerous character with a dangerous get-up. And that's the zone I was looking for."

KGF is written and directed by Prashanth Neel. The film stars Kannada star Yash in the leading role along with Anant Nag, Vasishta N. Simha, Srinidhi Shetty. The filming of chapter 2 started a couple of months back.
