On the occasion of Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt's birthday on Monday, filmmaker SS Rajamouli shared the look of the 'Udta Punjab' star as 'Sita' in the upcoming film 'RRR', helmed by him.

In the image, Alia wears a green saree paired with a vintage puff-sleeved brocade red blouse. The filmmaker described the character as strong-willed.

"Strong-willed and resolvent SITA's wait for Ramaraju will be legendary! Presenting @aliaa08 as #Sita to you all  @tarak9999 @AlwaysRamCharan #RRR #RRRMovie," Rajamouli tweeted.

Alia shared the same picture and captioned it with a heart emoji on Instagram.

As soon as Alia's look as 'Sita' was revealed, while a section of social media praised the star for looking her part, another section found an uncanny similarity between Alia and Mirzapur's Beena Tripathi's look, the latter was essayed by actor Rasika Dugal.

The appearance of centre-parted curly hair that both the actresses flaunted besides the prominent red bindi in the middle of the forehead, simple cotton saree and a mangalsutra in the neck – both Sita and Beena Tripathi's similarity in looks is something that is sure to catch your attention as much as it caught the netizens'. Alia's look was also compared to Anushka Shetty's and Kriti Sanon's from 'Baahubali 2' and 'Housefull 4' respectively.

Meanwhile, the much-awaited 'RRR' boasts of an ensemble cast comprising Telugu stars Ram Charan and Jr. NTR along with Bollywood stars Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn.

The period drama revolves around the fictitious tale based on the life of Telugu freedom fighters, Alluri Seetharama Raju and Komaram Bheem. Unconfirmed reports suggest the film is being produced at an estimated budget of Rs 450 crore.
