Maryam Zakaria replaces Sonakshi Sinha in item song

It always makes for juicy gossip when one hears about a top star being replaced by a virtual unknown. But how true are these replacement theories is anybody’s guess. It helps the newbie because what better way to be in the news that to be named in the same breath as a leading actor, so we take these bits of information with a pinch of salt. The latest buzz around town is about Grand Masti starlet Maryam Zakaria stepping into Sonakshi Sinha’s shoes. A source close to Maryam says, “Sonakshi was to do an item number in a Tamil film starring Surya  but she was replaced by Maryam.” However Sonakshi laughs off this rumour, “I haven’t heard the song or spoken to anyone.”
