Meet IIT alumna, who suffered family loss during UPSC preparation, bagged AIR 14 in second attempt

One passes the UPSC Civil Service Exam, one of India's most difficult exams, after putting in a lot of time and effort. Those who pass the three-round exam go on to become respected IAS, IPS, and IFS officers.

Many hopefuls for the UPSC exam were able to pass on their second or third attempt, while others found victory after a few tries. This IAS Ankita Chaudhary's story is incredibly inspiring because she overcame several obstacles to become an IAS officer.

Who is IAS Ankita Chaudhary?

Ankita Choudhary is a native of Rohtak, Haryana's Meham district. She was raised in a simple lower middle-class home. At a sugar factory, her father Satyavan works as an accountant. Ankita completed her college coursework at Indus Public School in Rohtak.

She has been a strong student and aspirant for independence and self-sufficiency ever since she was a young child. Ankita graduated with a degree in chemistry from Hindu College, Delhi University. She decided to take the UPSC exam during her graduation and began studying after gaining admission to the post-graduate program.

She began fervently preparing for the UPSC exams after earning her master's degree from IIT Delhi. In 2017, Ankita took the Civil Services exam for the first time, however she failed. She then started getting prepared to apply for a government job after realizing her errors. 

In the meantime, she had a terrible occurrence in her family. Ankita had a complete meltdown after her mother passed away in an accident. At this moment, her father began to motivate her. He encouraged her and motivated her to succeed in life. Ankita Chaudhary retook the UPSC test in 2018, and her perseverance paid off as she earned an IAS officer position with an AIR 14.
