DU 3rd cut-off list 2021 released on du.ac.in: Marks remain high with just 20,000 seats left

Delhi University has released the third cut-off list for affiliated colleges and the required marks still remain high as seats fill up.

DU Admissions 2021: The Delhi University has released the DU 3rd cut-off list 2021 on its official website, du.ac.in, on October 16, and the admissions process against the third list is set to commence in affiliated colleges from tomorrow, October 18.

The third cut-off list observed a very marginal drop in the percentage required for admissions in top DU colleges, with the required percentile still being too high for many students. There is an average drop of 0.25 to 1.25 percent across the courses offered by the varsity.

The cut-off marks are still high for several colleges, with admissions against many courses closed for the third list. As per reports, over 51,000 students have secured admissions to various colleges under the first two cut-offs. There are around 70,000 total seats in DU for undergraduate courses.

The cut-off marks in Lady Shri Ram College and Hindu College still stand above 99 percent, while colleges such as Janki Devi Memorial College, Kalindi College, Kamala Nehru College, Kirori Mal College, and Miranda House have closed the admissions for several courses.

  • Lady Shri Ram College- 99 percent for BA (Hons) Economics
  • Daulat Ram College- 96.66 percent for BSc Hons Chemistry
  • Hindu College- 99 percent for BA (Hons) Economics
  • Gargi College- 98.5 percent for BA (Hons) Economics
  • Shri Ram College of Commerce- 99.5 percent for BA (Hons) Economics
  • Indraprastha College for Women- 98 percent for BA (Hons) Economics
  • Hansraj College- 98 percent for BA (Hons) English

Most of the top colleges affiliated with Delhi University have closed the admissions against courses such as BA English, Economics, and History. Students still maintain a glimmer of hope as just a little over 19,000 seats are still left for the UG admissions, which are likely to get filled by the end of the third admission round starting from tomorrow.
