The Central Board of Secondary Education announced the results for class 12 board exams 2021 on Friday, July 30. Result of 13,04,561 students who appeared was declared and a record 99.37 percent or 12,96,318 students achieved pass result as per the Board’s alternative assessment policy.

With more than 70,000 student or 5.3 percent securing more than 95 percent marks, and 1,50,152 scoring above 90 percent, the high percentage of distinctions is likely to raise the cut-off limits of UG courses and college admissions. Other state boards have also seen a high passing percentage.

The 2021 board exams were assessed by CBSE based on the alternative scheme after the government was forced to scrap physical board exams from the year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Like last year, CBSE won’t be releasing a merit list this year too.

Delhi University, which basis its cut-off majorly on CBSE results with up to 70 percent new students coming from the board, will reportedly begin admission registration process on August 2. The first cut-off is expected to be announced in September.
