The Delhi police arrested three robbers including a wanted criminal involved in over 50 cases of murder, abduction and robbery. The accused in one of the robbery case had shot two employees mobile service provider and robbed about Rs15 lakh near Satyavati Flyover. One of the employee later died due to bullet injuries.
The accused have been identified as Ajay Kumar alias Ajju (39), Manvinder Singh alias Prince (27) and Bhagat alias Vicky Bada (32) were arrested after the police team received a tip-off regarding their meeting with an associate near Majnu ka Tila on Ring Road.
The team conducted a raid in the area and arrested three of them, according to the police team the gang was planning two big robberies in future and they had already conducted various recce, at their targets.
The gang had been eyeing a warehouse in South Delhi, from where money used to be transferred to a bank on periodical basis. The gang had conducted the recce and planning to commit the robbery soon. For the purpose they were planning to expand the gang.
However in another case the gang, had finalized a mobile distributor in Prashant Vihar area, as they had tracked the time durations at which the dealer used to send money to bank through his employee. For the purpose they had also collected information about the employee who would take the money.
'We were getting various inputs about criminals planning to commit robberies in Petrol pumps, Bank cash vans and ware house, however during investigation we tracked the gang and after their arrest they revealed their involvement in Satyavati flyover robbery case," said P.S. Kushwah, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Special Cell.
The police team has seized one sophisticated pistol along with two country made pistols from their possession.
