Commuters can book orders up to 12 hours before departure and pre-order from a wide range of variety. More than 20 categories of products, including beauty, confectionary, fashion, souvenirs, and pens, are available. Travellers can collect their pre-ordered items from respective outlets by making the payment through cash or card. One can also book products of their choice from 30 days upto 12 hours before the flight in three simple steps — Click-Pick-Fly.
Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) CEO I Prabhakara Rao said: "We have designed and launched an online shopping portal — www.shopflydel.in — in a bid to give our valued travellers a new shopping experience at the airport. The online portal is a platform for the smart and savvy travellers to purchase a wide range of products without any hassle. This arrangement will benefit passengers in a big way as they will have access to exciting online deals, special offers, and fast-track delivery."
"Shopflydel.in creates a niche market for Delhi Airport in the e-commerce space. Today, more than 70 per cent of passengers travelling through the Delhi airport use smartphones. We will soon add more traveller-friendly features and value-added services to this first-of-its kind interactive airport shopping portal," he added.
Travellers can also expect exciting offers and benefits being extended for their online shopping, including discount on select products, home delivery of purchased products, and sale of exclusive goods. Besides, DIAL will soon extend the facility for international travellers as well.
