'This is how it’s done': Harbhajan Singh lauds Cyberabad Police while reacting to Telangana Encounter

The nation was gripped with anger when a woman veterinarian from Hyderabad was gang-raped and then burnt alive and murdered.

The whole nation came forward and demanded justice for the 26-year-old Hyderabad vet and in a stunning turn of events, all four accused in the gang-rape and murder were killed in an encounter with the police in the wee hours of Monday.

"The accused were killed in a Police encounter at Chatanpally, Shadnagar today in the wee hours, between 3 am and 6 am. I have reached the spot and further details will be revealed," VC Sajjanar, Cyberabad Police Commissioner, was quoted as saying by news agency ANI. 

While many lauded the police for serving the 'justice, there were some who questioned the legality of the encounter.

Former Team India international Harbhajan Singh also expressed his thoughts over the event along with numerous others on Friday when the news first broke.

The veteran off-spinner took to Twitter to lauded the Hyderabad police for pulling off the move.

"Well done @TelanganaCMO and police for showing this is how it is done no one should dare doing something like this again in future," Harbhajan tweeted.

 "We watched on TV that they were killed in an encounter. We are very happy. Even people are happy. I thank the Telangana government and police for the encounter. I thank everyone who stood by us," the victim's father said.
