R Ashwin lauds Mohanlal's 'Drishyam 2', actor thanks cricketer for 'taking time from busy schedule'

While taking batsmen with his spin on-field, Ravichandran Ashwin surely enjoys movie time off-field. So after watching 'Drishyam 2', the spinner made sure he gave his verdict to all his fans.

Ashwin took to his social media and praised the movie as he said, "I laughed out loud when George Kutty @Mohanlal created that twist in the court #Drishyam2. If you guys dint, please start all over again from #Drishyam1. Fabulous!! Just fabulous." 

Mohanlal, who played the lead role in Drishyam 2, noticed Ashwin's tweet and thanked him. He also praised him for watching the film amid his busy schedule.

The actor wrote, "Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to watch our #Drishyam2 and talking about it. Means a lot to all of us. Best wishes for your career @ashwinravi99 (sic)."

'Drishyam 2' came out on February 19 and has been winning over audiences ever since. Available on Amazon Prime Video, the story involves a lot of twists and turns.

Mohanlal, director Jeethu Joseph and producer Antony Perumbavoor had joined hands for Drishyam in 2013. It had become the first Malayalam film to gross Rs 50 crore at the box office worldwide. The film was so successful that it got remade in several Indian languages, Sinhalese and even Chinese. Eight years later, the trio teamed up again with the sequel which has again managed to wow everyone. 

As for Ashwin, he will be back in action for the third Test between India and England. The third Test is taking place at the newly constructed Motera Stadium in Ahmedabad. It will be a day-night Test and a pink ball will be used.
