'The ARM OF GOD': Netizens praise 'Lord' Shardul Thakur after he gets in-form Venkatesh Iyer OUT on his first ball

Surely Shardul Thakur has the 'ARM OF GOD' because he got the in-form Venkatesh Iyer out in the 38th clash of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 in Abu Dhabi. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) had won the toss and opted to bat first against Chennai Super Kings (CSK), but it may not b going according to plan.

First Shubhman Gill was run-out and now 'Lord' Shardul Thakur got the very in form Iyer out for just 18 runs. Iyer was given caught behind, but he decided to opt for a review. There was a clear spike on the UltraEdge and the on-field decision stayed. 

Thakur struck on the first ball. Not just that, netizens believe it is a HAT-TRICK spanning over two matches. Thakur had dismissed AB de Villers and Devdutt Padikkal on the 5th and 6th ball of his last over against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and now picked up Venkatesh Iyer on his very first ball of his first over.

The praise for the 'Lord' have not stopped as fans believe there is nothing this man cannot do.

As for the clash, after the completion of 10 overs, KKR has scored 78 runs but lost three important wickets. Shubman Gill (9), Venkatesh Iyer (18) and skipper Eoin Morgan (8) have all departed. Rahul Tripathi is joined by Nitish Rana at the crease.

For CSK, apart from Shardul Thakur, Josh Hazlewood is the other bowler to take a wicket.
