Ever since the announcement of central contracts for Team India by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has been made, the one thing everyone noticed was the exclusion of Dhoni.

With questions over the wicketkeeper-batsman's retirement doing the rounds, the decision to exclude him just gave rise to more speculations.

However, in am interview, a close friend of Dhoni from Ranchi has expressed his thoughts on how he still not ready to retire and wants to still play.

The friend also reviled that MSD now gets angry whenever someone asks him about retirement.

“He (Dhoni) has worked even harder in the last few months before everything stopped. I haven’t seen him doing agility training so intensely ever," Mahi's friend was quoted as saying by several news outlets.

"He knows he is not getting younger and perhaps that is why training even harder to keep himself fit,” the friend added.

Due to the coronavirus outbreak, BCCI decided to postpone the kick-off the IPL 2020 till April 15, 2020.

Speaking on the topic, the CSK skipper's friend said: “He has proved everyone wrong when no one backed him. Now there are millions of fans to back him. So he will take his chances for sure.”

“Mahi gets angry when we ask him questions on his retirement. He still feels he is the fittest of all and quickest wicket-keeper in India.”
