England have won the toss and chosen to bowl first again in the fifth and final game of the T20I series against India at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The visitors were unchanged as they played the same team for third time in a row. However, India made one change.
The opening batsman KL Rahul after scores of 1, 0, 0 and 14 was left out and India went in with a frontline bowling option in T Natarajan. That meant skipper Virat Kohli will move up the order, with Suryakumar Yadav continuing to play at No 3.
Even though Virat Kohli said that they would have liked to bowl first as well, he wasn't disappointed with the result of the toss as India are coming from a close win in the fourth T20I defending the total. India batted first and put on a challenging total of 185 runs, of which England fell eight runs short.
India: Virat Kohli(c), Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant(w), Hardik Pandya, Washington Sundar, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Shardul Thakur, Rahul Chahar, T Natarajan.
England: Jason Roy, Jos Buttler(w), Dawid Malan, Jonny Bairstow, Eoin Morgan(c), Ben Stokes, Sam Curran, Jofra Archer, Chris Jordan, Adil Rashid, Mark Wood
