Marcus Stoinis has been doing everything correctly in the white-ball game and hence has been attracting talks for a possible Test debut.

Stoinis, who scored an unbeaten 78 in 49 balls in the Melbourne Stars' comfortable seven-wicket win over the Renegades in the Big Bash League at the MCG, however, wants to focus on the 2019 World Cup as he knows the current all-rounder in the Aussie Test team is Mitchell Marsh.

"It's obviously great to have support, but equally you wouldn't have to go far to find something negative as well," Stoinis told cricket.com.au.

"It's good to have the good and the bad, it's just the balance," the all-rounder added.

When asked about any feedback if he has received from the selectors in regards to the 2019 World Cup, Stonis said, "Recent feedback keeps going with my white-ball stuff. They're pretty happy, there are things to work on obviously."

Adding more about Test debut, he said, "Then with Test cricket, Mitch Marsh is the allrounder at the moment. I mean, he was picked in the last Test team and the last Test tour."

Australia are yet to announce their squad for the fourth and final Test against India at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG).

Meanwhile, Shane Warne has been one of his biggest supporters in the longest format.

"I think once the penny drops for Marcus Stoinis he can play for Australia in all forms for a long period of time," Warne told Fox Cricket.

"I've been saying all summer he can play red-ball cricket and I don't think it's straight competition between him and Mitch Marsh. He can play as a batsman. He's an absolute weapon," he added.
