India's star batters, Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan, have been recognized for their outstanding performances in the recent ODI series against West Indies. The ICC updated its ODI Player Rankings list for batters on Wednesday, and Gill's impressive display has propelled him to fifth place, climbing two spots.

Gill and Kishan were the standout performers with the bat, accumulating a remarkable total of 310 runs over the three matches. Their exceptional performance showcased their prowess in the top-order batting.

Although Pakistan captain Babar Azam continues to dominate the ODI batter rankings, Gill's exceptional series against West Indies has boosted his rating points to 743. He now has third-placed Fakhar Zaman (755) and fourth-placed Imam-ul-Haq (745) within his reach.

Kishan has also achieved a career-best rating, jumping nine places to 36th overall. Additionally, star all-rounder Hardik Pandya has climbed 10 places to equal 71st, thanks to his contributions against West Indies.

India's experienced all-rounder, Pandya, has also climbed five places to 11th overall on the list for ODI all-rounders. However, it was left-arm spinner Kuldeep Yadav and seamer Shardul Thakur who made the most significant impact on the rankings for ODI bowlers.

Kuldeep has broken into the top 10 and claimed the 10th position in the ODI Bowler Rankings with 622 points. This achievement follows his impressive performance of seven wickets in the series against the West Indies. On the other hand, Thakur, who led both sides with a series-best eight scalps, has improved three spots to 30th.

India's star player, Virat Kohli, continues to hold the 9th spot, while skipper Rohit Sharma is positioned at 11th. India's newcomer, Tilak Varma, has entered the batter rankings at 46th, showcasing a remarkable start to his international career. Additionally, Kuldeep's impressive performance has propelled him up 36 places to 51st, making him the most notable bowler from the Asian side.
