Meet woman who helps brother run Rs 73,090 crore firm, daughter of India's second richest mining billionaire

He is also India's second-richest metal and mining billionaire with a real-time net worth of Rs 138,580 crore as of September 5, 2023, according to Forbes.

Vanisha Mittal Bhatia is a non-independent Director of ArcelorMittal, a multinational steel manufacturing corporation headquartered in Luxembourg City. She is the daughter of the Indian steel magnate Lakshmi Mittal, who is the executive chairman of the company.  

Her brother, Aditya Mittal, is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Director of ArcelorMittal. The company reported a net income of USD 9.3 billion in 2022, according to Forbes. This was around Rs 73,090 crore in 2022. Her father Lakshmi Mittal is the fifth richest Indian in the Forbes World's Billionaire List. He is also India's second-richest metal and mining billionaire with a real-time net worth of USD 16.7 billion as of September 5, 2023, according to Forbes. This is around Rs 138,580 crore. 

She has been working for Aperam since 2011 as the Chief Strategy Officer. Born in 1980, she is the daughter of steel magnate Lakshmi Mittal and Usha Mittal. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in science from the European Business School. She is married to Amit Bhatia. The duo got married in 2004. Her father spent around 55 million dollars on the wedding. 

In June 2004, she was chosen to serve on the board of directors of LNM Holdings. She worked in the Procurement department. She led various initiatives there. Later in December 2004, Vanisha was appointed to Mittal Steel’s Board of Directors.
