Nikhil Kamath is the youngest billionaire in India. At age 36, his net worth was 1.1 billion dollars. His brother, Nikhil Kamath, also has a net worth of 2.7 billion dollars.

Nikhil Kamath has signed the giving pledge initiated by Bill Gates, Melinda French Gates and Warren Buffet, in 2010. He has pledged to give away half of his net worth. He recently joined the elite club of 240 ultra-rich people who have decided to give away to society.

He is not married and has no children.

The brothers founded Zerodha in 2010. The stock broking company disrupted the brokerage market in India. The company has over 10 million clients. It has been registering a profit of over Rs 2000 crore.

Kamath is also the youngest to be part of the giving pledge.

From India, people like Azim Premji, Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, Rohini and Nandan Nilekani, have also taken the giving pledge.

Kamath will donate at least 50 percent of his net worth to charitable causes in areas like climate change, energy, education and health.

Nikhil Kamath is a school dropout. However, he always had an entrepreneurial spirit. At the age of 14, he started selling old phones. His mother threw away his inventory. He dropped out of school after Class 10. 

At the age of 17, he secured a job at a call centre for Rs 8000.

His net worth is Rs 9000 crore.
