Vicky Kaushal-starrer 'URI: The Surgical Strike', which released on January 11, is enjoying a monsterous run at the box office. The Aditya Dhar directorial crossed Rs 50 crore in just five days and has now cruised past Rs 100 crore mark in 10 days.

'URI', which is based on the retaliatory surgical strikes carried out by the Indian Army in Pakistan following the 2016 terror attacks in Uri base camp, has been declared the first blockbuster of 2019.

Sharing the complete box office breakdown, film trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote: "And Uri crosses Rs 100 cr... Sure, Rs 100 cr is not the yardstick to gauge the success of a film, but it should be celebrated when mid-sized films like Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, Raazi, Stree, BadhaaiHo and UriTheSurgicalStrike hit century... Content is king and the audiences are king makers!"

As per him, 'URI' is the first medium-budget film after Kangana Ranaut's 'Tanu Weds Manu Returns' to have joined the coveted Rs 100 Crore film in such a short duration.

'URI' marks the directorial debut of Aditya Dhar and also stars Yami Gautam, Mohit Raina, Paresh Rawal, Kriti Kulhari and Rajit Kapur.
