Directed by Sujoy Ghosh and starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Vijay Varma, and Jaideep Ahlawat in the leading roles, the crime drama Jaane Jaan has left everyone intrigued with its suspense-filled trailer. The film is set to release on Netflix on September 21 on the occasion of Kareena's 43rd birthday.

Sharing his excitement for the overwhelming response to the trailer and nervousness ahead of the release, Sujoy took to his X (previously known as Twitter) account, shared the YouTube link of Jaane Jaan's trailer and wrote, "Just realised so many of you have seen our trailer so thank you... thank you... thank you...eleven days to exam result (gulp!) but please watch it on 21st."

Replying to him, one X user wrote, "Kaahe ka exam, theatre mai release karne ka aukat to hai nahi, OTT mein sab hit hi hai tu tension mat le (Which exam are you talking about? You didn't have guts to release the film in the theatres, every thing is declared hit on OTT, you don't take any tension)". Ghosh gave a sarcastic reply to him and shut him down. "Thanx bro, you just relieved me of all my tensions, forever grateful, big hug". The filmmaker's response met with hilarious reactions from other netizens.

When the Jaane Jaan trailer was released last week, Sujoy had shared details about the film, "Set in Kalimpong the film sees a love story, a criminal investigation, a budding attraction, mastermind plotting and the will to do anything for love. Essayed by my dream cast of Kareena, Jaideep and Vijay, all in roles so different from what they have been seen in before."

Sujoy Ghosh has previously directed critically and commercially acclaimed thrillers such as Kahaani, Badla, and Kahaani 2: Durga Rani Singh among others. He last directed Tamannaah Bhatia and Vijay Varma's segment in the anthology Lust Stories 2, which premiered in June on Netflix.
